Suman is a great guide as well as a good person. We were group of 12 people including a kid of 8 years old(My son). The trip became very easy as my son liked him a lot and began to walk together with him 😀. He took great care of all the members and helped us through out the trip. I highly recommend Suman. Sumar is a top notch guide! He kept our rowdy team safe and in great spirts the entire trek from Lukla, EBC back to Lukla! He was always 2 steps ahead of our needs on the trail and in the tea houses. It took him about one day to learn our needs regarding food preferences and we never had to ask him for our preferred hydration, spices, and food! On the trail he not only kept a remarkable pace (appropriately speedy when appropriate, slow when we needed it), he pointed out key land marks, lesser known places/animals/things, and above all- kept us safe! Without a doubt- Sumar is a great guide and you would be wise to book him to share your travel adventures! PS- he is such a remarkable human- he ensured we all got on our return flight safe and sound. Then stayed to wish us farewell as our plane taxied away!

Our group trek to the Base Camp of Mount Everest last May was made unforgettable, thanks to Suman's expert guidance. I found Suman recommended on a reddit thread from someone that had a positive experience with him. I found him on honeyguide and the rest of the reviews convinced me to hire him as our guide. I wouldn't change anything about our trip, and Suman was the perfect guide to have along. He was knowledgeable about the fauna and flora (which was a big plus for us), taught us a ton about the culture of the peoples of the Himalayas, and is all around a pleasant person to work with. The experience can be challenging and Suman was part of the push that helped us reach base camp. He was positive throughout, reassuring, and helpful. He taught us games the locals play which was a lot of fun and a great way to meet people at teahouses. Honestly, I can't say enough positive about our experience with Suman. Hire him, you won't regret it.

What a fun and wonderful time we had trekking to basecamp! Yes, trekking to basecamp can be physically demanding and it got rough at some parts of the trek, but Suman's positive energy made the hard moments better and he just made me feel that I could totally do it one step at a time. He made sure everyone was safe and felt confident. Everyone in our group, all at different fitness levels, made it to basecamp! Suman was patient explaining each day's plan and answering all of our questions regarding the places, routes, and basically everything. We got to know him really well and he treated us all like family! He's such a great human all around, knowledgeable, caring and we loved having him as our guide. I knew this trip was going to be a life-changing experience because trekking to Everest basecamp is pretty rad, right? But what really made it life-changing for me personally was interacting with Suman and his crew, getting to know them, and experiencing Nepal safely along these great humans.

Suman is not only a guide but takes care of everyone as his own family. He has good knowledge of the trek routes and knows how to overcome the situation skillfully. His pleasing personality with smile made us hike easier. everything is possible with Suman.

Suman was an awesome guide for us! Very knowledgeable, genuinely concerned about our safety and well-being, extremely fit, and he and his guide team put together a very well-organized trip for us. The meals we had with them were top-of-the-line Everest meals. He was very patient with us and kept a good pace for both the slower and faster of our group. My group felt we made a life long friend in Suman. I recommend him with 10 stars on all accounts and would definitely go with him again if I went back.

When we explore an area unknown to us, an expert to the area would be very valuable. Suman is a dependable expert in Himalaya area. Suman was a guide to a group of us when we hiked to Everest Base Camp (EBC). He is knowledgeable, friendly and always ready to help. He is well remembered by everyone. On the way of trekking, he would point out the landmarks and mountain peaks to give us environment introduction. When we arrived to a station, he would run around to serve drink and food while we took break. We did marathon from EBC to Namche Bazaar. He helped us to collect our extra cloth at Gorakshep, a village 5KM from the EBC. Even he waited after the last one to pass by and even he carried all of those extra burden, he covered the distance to Namche and he returned our cloth at the end of the day. He is fit and he is capable. Suman can do and he is willingly to do extras to help. If I would go back to Himalaya area again, I would hire Suman to be my guide for sure.

My husband and I did the trek to EBC and the Everest Marathon in May of 2023 with Suman as one of our guides. This is an experience of a lifetime and Suman is a huge part of it! He is very experienced, friendly, knowledgeable, reliable, attentive and kind. We could always count on Suman. Definitely the best of the best. You will be in great hands with Suman Magar when you're hiking the Everest region. I came to Nepal to do the EBC trek followed by the Everest marathon. He had attention for the small details you don't even think about when setting off for Everest Base camp. He's friendly, knowledgeable, and just an all around great guide and guy. He also went the extra mile day in and day out of the trek, for example the morning of the marathon, staying at Base camp I got the call for breakfast at 5am. Being so cold I decided to skip it. The next thing I know Suman brought me breakfast in my tent. What an unexpected surprise. I came for Everest base camp and the Everest marathon but it was the great experience that I had with Suman that left a lasting impression on me that I will never forget. I did the Everest Base Camp trek with Surman as my guide, and I couldn't have asked for a better experience. He was knowledgeable about the route, always ensuring I was safe and comfortable. I had been planning a trip to EBC for 30 years. It finally happened in 2022 and I was lucky enough to have Suman as my guide. I trekked to EBC with Suman n 2022. It was an amazing experience in an amazing place with amazing people. Suman made it all happen. Did the Gokyo ri trek on Dec 2021 with our guide Mr Suman Magar. I must say he is very professional and experienced guide who knows how to deal with the situation if there is anyone who is struggling (physically or mentally) in the group. He is one of the best guide i ever had during my Nepal trek expedition. Very humble and genuine guy i recommend him to anyone who is looking forward or planning any trek in near future. I was on a trek to Gokyo Ri during Dec 2022. Gokyo Ri trekking was one of my best experience so far. The credit goes to our guide Mr suman Magar. He was very friendly, informative and experienced. He knew the Gokyo trek trail very well and was constantly giving us information during our whole trek. He is a professional guide who knows everyone bits of the trail. I fell slightly ill on day 4 on our trek. He ensure i was ok all the way up to Gokyo lake and managed a horse ride services also. He even carried my bag all the way to Gokyo lake. I am extremely thankful to Suman Magar bhai. Without his support and motivation, i would not have completed my trek. I would recommend him for anyone wishes to visit the Everest region trek.

Suman guided me from Lukla to Everest Base Camp and back. I could not have asked for a better guide and friend to make this trek with. He has expert knowledge of the region and made fantastic recommendations on where to stay, what to eat, and how to MAKE IT to base camp. The EBC trek is not easy for an inexperience trekker like myself, and having a guide who can help you adjust to the altitude is crucial. Suman took great care of me and helped me overcome the altitude. He is a great communicator, speaks English well and provides a great encouragement along the trek. He knows many people in each town you stop in and can cater your experience based on how nice you want your accommodations to be (and how much you want to spend). I found this important as accommodations vary greatly on the trail and it’s nice to have options through a well connected guide. I texted him an hour before my flight into Lukla seeking a porter (last minute) and he was able to make it happen. I am so pleased with my experience with Suman and would not trek in the Everest region with anyone else. Thank you Suman! I look forward to our next trek!

I had an amazing time with our lovely guide, gave him nick name “wild goat 🐐 “ due his electrifying speed, he has a charismatic n charming personality n gelled with us so swiftly. Apart from it he had good knowledge about the route n passages. serving us first and then eating his meal showed his generosity. Very sensible and wise decision-maker, always eager to help others. We spent 14 days trekking with Suman in the Khumbu area. He was very nice and well organised. He arranged for us porter and accomodation for each day. When we could not go higher, we did side trips from Namche.

We were a group of 5 girls going to EBC, a mixture of 1st timer and 2nd timer trekkers. You can imagine how demanding we can be! But Suman was taking really good care for all of us. And I really thank him for looking aftere me when I was having a mild AMS when we were going over 4000m. He's a funny guy, very helpful and very knowledgable. His communication was seriously quite ok, but surely must be way better by now (it was in 2017). We all fell in love with him! He's like a little brother to us (we had a senior guide too and we called him Papa). And he's got really good connections with ppl. It was fun seeing him shaking hand as if he's a celebrity especially when we get to Namche ;) must have been close to hundreds!

Suman was the best, full of knowledge, always patient, and was like trekking with a friend, when I’m in Nepal again or recommending for a friend, Suman is the go to guide.
