About Dawa

My name is Dawa Gurung. Let me tell you my story. I still remember when I trekked from Thinker (my village in Upper Mustang) to Beni with my father at the age of 7. It takes 8 full days to reach Beni. I do remember the entire trip where we used to sleep and eat outside. If I tell you everything then it will be too long to write here. So, my interest in this trekking field was from my very childhood. Later on, I studied in Pokhara and Kathmandu at Tibetan School called Namgyal Higher secondary school. In 2012 I took trekking guide training and officially became a licensed holder mountain guide. So far I had covered places like Kanchenjunga, Everest region, Helambhu, Langtang , Gosainkunda, Manaslu, Manang, Annapurna, Mustang and dolpo areas as a guide.
