Just as you walk ahead from the Sundarijal Buspark, you will come across the Radha Krishna Mandir to your left. This temple is generally locked from outside unless you happen to visit on Krishna Janmashtami, a Hindu festival that celebrates the birth of Lord Krishna. However, you can peep inside the temple through the channel gate and embrace yourself with the beauty of the temple. This temple is dedicated to the most famous lovers in Hindu mythology: Radha Krishna. Their love story is sublime and eternal. Their story is highly retold in Hinduism and is also portrayed in various plays and functions. As to depict the eternal bond they share, locals build the Radha Krishna temple in different places all around Kathmandu. The one that you see over here is quite similar to any other Radha Krishna Temple in the valley. With the main Radha-Krishna Statue decorated with different ritual cloths, you will also find the posters of young Krishna being worshipped with incense sticks, flowers, and colors. Since Lord Ganesh is regarded as the god of new beginnings, no wonder his posters are also worshipped inside the Radha Krishna Temple. Well, even though the temple is named as the Radha Krishna Mandir, you will notice various forms of Gods being worshipped over here.
