This is the most famous nunnery in Mustang not because Spice girls live there but it is one of the very few which still has Anis (female nuns) living in a good number. Other Ani gompas in the Kali Gandaki valley only houses a handful of Anis but this gompa in Syang has a healthy number of nuns living inside the gompa. This is evident from the main prayer room of the gompa which is very well maintained. The prayer room is neat and houses small statues of Buddhas in different postures along with a statue of Guru Padmasambhava. The wall behind the main altar is full of holy books called Tengyur. The walls are painted with different Nyingmapa gods and goddesses. Some of them include the wrathful deity Padma Dragpo, Padmasambhava and Avalokiteshvara.
