Annapurna Conservation Area Project (ACAP) has done exemplary work in the field of community driven conservation. Actually, this was perhaps one of the few conservation projects in which the local community especially mother's groups were more active than the officers. While the boards on display at this Unit Conservation Office will not reflect this fact, it will nevertheless give you a brief overview of the activities and objectives of ACAP.
