    Pothana is a small village that sprang up around the ACAP Tourist Checkpost. You will need to present your ACAP and TIMS permit here. Rhododendrons adorn the slopes around this village from mid-April onwards and the spring air also resonates with the persistent call of barbets and cuckoos.
