MUGJE - Connecting sidetrips

Mugje is the meeting place for the higher and lower route that starts just after Dhikur Pokhari. It is a small settlement just 30 minutes before the bigger and medieval settlement of Bhraka. The only attraction at Mugje is a short side trip to Sher gompa which is just about 30 minutes uphill walk to the north. There are longer side trips accessible, however. Just after the settlement of Mugji, there are numerous signboards showing you the way to different side trips. However, please note that the Ice Lake and Milarepa cave side trips can be done from Bhraka and Manang as well. In fact, it is advisable that you do these two sidetrips from either Bhraka or Manang.
