Seeing Mount Everest, the highest mountain in the world, from a Himalaya viewpoint is on the bucket list of most people in the world. As such, we have compiled a list of iconic spots to get an awesome Mount Everest View.<\/span><\/p>\n

Kala Patthar, Everest Region<\/span><\/h2>\n

\"\"<\/p>\n

Kala Patthar<\/span><\/a>\u00a0(5,643 meters) is the spot for those who wish to see an up-close unobstructed view of Mount Everest. However, Kala Patthar is more than just a viewpoint. Given that it is higher than four of the seven summits, a trek to Kala Patthar is a journey that you will cherish for the rest of your life.<\/span><\/p>\n

There are two ways to get there. First, you can either fly to Lukla or take a jeep to Tham Danda and start <\/span>walking from those villages<\/span><\/a>. This option will take you twelve to fourteen days.<\/span><\/p>\n

Another option is to take a helicopter either from\u00a0<\/span>Kathmandu<\/span><\/a>\u00a0or\u00a0<\/span>Lukla<\/span><\/a>.<\/span><\/p>\n

Gokyo Ri, Everest Region<\/span><\/h2>\n

\"RenjoA rocky peak at 5,357 m above sea level in Gokyo valley, Gokyo Ri is the lesser-known but one of the best spots to view Mount Everest. Gokyo Ri offers an amazing Everest view with other surrounding mountains over 8000 m.<\/span><\/p>\n

You can either trek\u00a0<\/span>there along the Gokyo valley<\/span><\/a>\u00a0for 11 days and skip the EBC route altogether or\u00a0<\/span>combine EBC with Gokyo<\/span><\/a>\u00a0in a 15 days epic trek. Helicopters, unfortunately, do not land at the viewpoint as it is rocky and too exposed.<\/span><\/p>\n

Pikey Peak, Everest Region<\/span><\/h2>\n

Pikey Peak (4,065m) is one of the best hilltops in the lower Everest Region for panoramic mountain views, including Mount Everes<\/a>t. Pikey Peak offers an encompassing view of the Himalayas from Mount Dhaulagiri in the west to Mount Kanchenjunga in the East. Despite being Sir Edmund Hillary’s favorite viewpoint, very few people visit this peak.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

As such, we highly recommend a trek to Pikey Peak trek if you are interested in exploring less-visited valleys of the lower Everest region.<\/span><\/p>\n

We can trek to Pikey Peak on six leisure days via a drive to Phaplu<\/a> or Dhap.<\/span><\/p>\n

Renjo La Pass, Everest Region<\/span><\/h2>\n

\"RenjoRenjo La Pass (5,360 m) is one of the three high passes in Everest and joins the Gokyo Valley with Thame Valley. It is one of the most underrated areas of the Everest region, and climbing high up to Renjo La Pass behind Gokyo offers you a breathtaking view of Mount Everest out in the distance. As we get higher up the pass, the views of Everest will get better and better with the glacier and lake in front of Everest and the surrounding mountains. We can get there by trek via Namche<\/a> and Gokyo lake<\/a>.<\/span><\/p>\n

Tengboche, Everest Region<\/span><\/h2>\n

A famous\u00a0<\/span>Buddhist monastery<\/span><\/a>\u00a0above Sherpa capital Namche Bazaar at 3,867m above sea level, Tengboche offers impressive views of the mighty Mount Everest and beautiful Mount Ama Dablam. We reach Tengboche on the fourth day while on an\u00a0<\/span>Everest Base Camp trek<\/span><\/a>.<\/span><\/p>\n

Hotel Everest View, Everest Region<\/span><\/h2>\n

Hotel Everest View is one of the most luxurious hotels in the Everest Region. Located inside Sagarmatha National Park at\u00a0<\/span>Syangboche<\/span><\/a>\u00a0and offering a mesmerizing view of the Himalayas, this hotel opened its door for visitors in 1971 and was hailed as the world’s highest hotel by The Guinness Book of World Records in 2004! With a view of Mt. Everest from every room, visitors can immerse in this mesmerizing scene in luxury. There are two ways to get to Hotel Everest View: Take a helicopter either from Kathmandu or Lukla, or take a flight to Lukla and then walk for\u00a0<\/span>four days to reach Hotel Everest View.<\/span><\/a><\/p>\n

Mount Mera, Everest Region<\/span><\/h2>\n

Mount Mera, also popularly known as Mera Peak, is one of the highest trekking peaks in Nepal. It offers truly breathtaking views, which provides 360-degree panoramic views of five mountains over 8000 m; Mount Everest (8848 m), Kanchenjunga (8586 m), Lhotse (8516 m), Makalu (8485 m), and Cho Oyu (8201 m). From Mera Peak, you see Everest to the north, just behind the massive unclimbed south face of Lhotse and the Nuptse\/Lhotse ridge.<\/span><\/p>\n

If you plan to climb\u00a0<\/span>Mount Mera<\/span><\/a>, we recommended you separate 18 days.<\/span><\/p>\n

Sagarmatha National Park Museum<\/span><\/h2>\n

\"Everest<\/p>\n

We will reach Namche Bazaar on the second day while trekking to Everest Base Camp. From Namche, if you walk for around 30 minutes to the Sagarmatha National Park Museum, you can see Mount Everest out in the distance. You can also see great views of Ama Dablam<\/a>, Nuptse, and Lhotse from here.<\/span><\/p>\n
