Google’s Doodle marks Nepal Republic Day

On the occasion of Nepal’s 8th Republic Day, Google has featured a new Doodle on its page highlighting Nepal. The new Google Doodle features candles lit before a Buddhist Stupa and a temple, both of which are the national symbols of the rich cultural heritage of Nepal.

Google, the number one search engine, has composed a message saying:
According to google: "We hope today’s Doodle will remind the people of Nepal that they are an inspiration to the entire world, and that their burning perseverance lights the way for us all. The concept of light in this Doodle means three things for Nepal: celebration of this National day, prayers to Buddha, and a guiding light on the way home."

Nepal was declared Federal Democratic Republic of Nepal after almost 300 years of monarch was toppled on April 24, 2006. After two years, on May 28, 2008, it was announced a federal Republic country and became one of the youngest republic countries in the world.
